Devika Nair is a very dedicated and loving teacher. She is very involved in all of her students and is dedicated to truly improving their skills. My daughters have been learning with Devika teacher for around 7 years now and they love her. I can see that she is very patient and caring when teaching her students no matter what age. I am very blessed to have Devika teacher as their guru and as a friend.

Sattvika Dance Academy led by Devika Nair was the best choice and decision that as a mother I have made for my daughter. We have been a part of this academy for 7+ years and counting. The supportive and family oriented atmosphere is one of the most unique qualities of SDA. The Dance Class is more than just teaching children how to dance … it’s also about the children learning to be being confident. The passion and care you show towards your students speaks volumes. There are not enough words to express how grateful we are to have an extraordinary teacher with outstanding choreography skills sweeping away the audiences off their feet.

Where do I begin! When I registered my daughter years ago with Sattvika Dance Academy, I had no idea that what I was enrolling into was not just a dance school, but an extended family. I thought I would let her try it out for a little bit. That little bit ended up being 7 years, and we have no intention of stopping just yet. What struck me about Devika teacher was her patience with the children. As a mother, that was very important to me. Kids feel comfortable around her, and for that reason want to keep going to class. Teacher is able to pick out a positive characteristic in each of her students, and helps them build on it. I have seen so much growth, not only in my own child, but in all of the students. And, surprisingly, most of that growth happened during covid via Zoom! We have entered and won competitions, performed at numerous stage shows for many occasions all throughout the Tri-state area, including the highly acclaimed Mitrahs festival most recently. Teacher's talent for choreography cannot go unnoticed. She has a special ear for music and her dance choreos are unmatched. When we chose Sattvika, we had no ratings or reviews to go by. Today, I can't imagine placing my daughter anywhere or with anyone else. We are so blessed to have found Devika teacher, and have created a family with this dance school and its students. It's a special bond that cannot be broken.
