ABOUT SATTVIKA

Sattvika Dance Academy was established in 2016 as a dance school dedicated to promote and nurture the rich, exquisite and cultural heritage of all Classical Indian Performing Arts. Sattvika's commitment to provide a friendly, effective and challenging learning environment fortifies in students the belief that hard work and practice enhances their performances. Students are encouraged to participate in local and inter-state competitions, fundraisers, cultural shows and corporate events. These participations are complemented with praises and felicitations thus enabling us to witness their artistic growth and confidence. Sattvika's activities are driven by the vision and passion of the Artistic Director, Devika Nair, who, for more than 25 years has combined her gifted performing skills and choreographic talents to train upcoming performance artists in all art forms.

The academy aims to cater to dynamic and diverse student groups starting from kids of ages 3 & above to adults. Art enthusiasts from all walks of life should have an opportunity to discover their talents and Sattvika Dance Academy hopes to instill courage in dancers to showcase their skills to awe-inspiring, art-loving audiences. Sattvika is focused on creating innovative choreographies that push boundaries and break stereotypes.

OUR MISSION

Sattvika Dance Academy hopes to epitomize the fundamentals of classical dances and the talas (rhythmic cycle of music) through structured quality training and innovative choreography. The academy makes dance a fun-filled tradition for dancers, thus enriching their lives and ensuring that they are always culture-aware. The academy strives to train students to become well rounded dancers who share our passion and immense respect for the performing arts while developing their special gifts, talents, sense of pride & self confidence in all aspects of life.
